Why have counselling?

Sometimes problems, situations, or incredibly painful events happen to us that can cause us to be steered off path, or perhaps you are unsure of the path that you are on? Maybe life feels unbalanced and that you are having less joy in life? Are you worried about upcoming event's, or event's which are currently happening? Do you find it hard to go about as yourself, and feel it's easier to face the world through a mask?
Maybe counselling is the answer? Speaking to someone who is outside your immediate friends and family, who hears the real you, who can listen and show you non judgement, who can help support you to gain fresh insights about your thoughts, and behaviours. Who can help you regain confidence and learn new coping strategies as well grow your self esteem/self worth. Start to unravel and piece together your worries and troubles while being held in a safe, empathic space with no judgement.

About Me

Hello, I'm Emma,
Firstly thank you for visiting my site. I am a kind, friendly, warm hearted person. I am qualified integrative counsellor, who specialises in Eating Disorders. I work in a way that is supportive and enables us to work together to look at, explore and help resolve your struggles. By drawing across several therapeutic models when working with you ensures that I am able to meet your needs individually as everyone's experiences of life is unique.

Working in Chard and Frome. I provide counselling for adults of all ages 16+ and can offer both short term and long term therapy.

There are often times in our lives when we need support and understanding, and a place to go to, where we can look at areas of our lives that we may be struggling with. This may be thoughts, behaviours, feelings or situations that are causing us distress in our everyday lives. It may be past events or a general feeling of being lost or disconnected from ourselves. Whatever you are experiencing I can offer you a warm, safe, confidential space, that is non-judgemental and we can work together to find new ways of coping or to come to a place of better understanding and clarity.
